- Batu Seremban
this game goes way back then even before i was born. i think i played this game more when i was in secondary school, not so much in primary school though. here's the way you play this game. there are five 5 stones right? you toss one stones at at time and sweep another one one the floor and after that catch the one you toss earlier.after that u toss another stones and sweep 2 stones at the floor and catch back then one you toss earlier. and it progress much harder and harder after that. here's the kicker. you can only use one hand to play this game.(i'm never good in this game)
- Bottle Caps
well we didn't call it like that in Malay. for Johoreans like me, we called it "Ceper" (che-pear), but for the rest of everyone else they called it "Tutup Botol" which is a Malay translation for Bottle Caps. anyway, to play this game, you need 5 bottle caps. to know which person starts first, you need do some kinda of contest who get the most bottle caps. you sort of need to do "timbang" and toss all five caps in the mid air and try catches all five of them. who catches the most, starts first. to start, you need to stack them and throw them on the surface to spread them around. then you need to choose a "bullet" and your opponent will choose your target for you and you need to flick your "bullet" to your target. like batu seremban, it gets harder and harder everytime u progress to another level. and trust me, it's not as easy as it looks. you need certain skills and patients to play this game. (never good in this game either.)
- Congkak
okay, honestly, i have to admit. i don't play congkak in school. who in their right mind carrying congkak to school? that thing is huge! okay for us when we were in primary, yea, it was huge cause we're small. anyway, actually this game was introduced to me by my father. we had a congkak at home and we used to play it together as a family. it's very easy. the things use to play in this game is marble. only 2 people can play at a time and you need to start simultaneously and when one player reach an empty hole, the player stops. when the other player reach empty hole, the one who stops earlier, resume playing. the objective of this game is to see who can collect the most marbles and the one who gets it wins.(this one i can play very well.)
- Chasing or Kejar-Kejar
oh man, i have to admit. this is one of the best games i've ever played when i was small. really small. probably when i was 7 or 8 years old. i still remembered playing this games with all my friends. me and my friends love playing this game at the spacious place near the parking space and the canteen. it's where we used to assemble every morning to sing our national, state and school songs. anyway, the game is pretty simple. first you need to "Lat-ta-li-lat" to see who will be come the "Jadi". that person is the one who will chase all of you. so when that "Jadi" person touches you, then you will become the next "Jadi". there is one rule though. if you see that you're about to be touched by that "Jadi", you can squat where you can be avoided from being tagged. funny, come to think of it, why didn't we all just squat back then? why do all run like crazy to avoid it? but it was fun though. very very enjoyable. you know this reminds me of something. back then, there was this one boy who always be the "Jadi" and i think he really likes it. especially chasing all us girls. but this boy is kinda weird. he likes to show off to us especially to the girls that he eats weird stuff like chalk, and yes, ive seen him do that. i can't remember his name. i wonder what happen to him?
- Conquer
well, this game is pretty simple. this game usually played when you're bored listening the teacher rambling on and on about stuff that you have no idea what it is. at least that's how i see it. anyways, all you need is a math book and a pencil and 2 players. one pick x and the other is o. all you need to do is to try and surround the other player with your icon and the one who surround most, wins! pretty easy actually.
well, there are a couple of more games, but its kinda late a bit and i kinda not in the mood to continue tonight. so i guess, i'll continue tomorrow and hope you guys stay tune.
to be continue.......
