Lilies... I love lilies. especially white lilies. white lily has always been my favorite flowers since i was a teenager. i dunno why but to me it looks so beautiful, serene, peaceful and innocent. i think that's how i like to describe myself. excluding everything except innocent. i know funny right? me? innocent? totally not! but i'm not talking about innocent like you do a crime or something. i'm talking innocent about life. compare to most of you, i think you all see life in a different way than i do. for me, i always see a good side in anyone's life except my own. i am very naive when it comes to relationships. i see the best things in people. you know, innocent. like there is no bad or dark thought about everyone except my own. everyone's life is better than my own. they have the best relationship and i don't ( of course i don't have a great relationship, i'm single, duh!). that is why i call it innocent. i might be wrong but that is how i describe my "innocent" like.
anyways, i think most of you already knows what white lily represents. but to those who do not, white lily represents purity, virtue, modesty, virginity, majesty, and kinda tells your loved ones that 'it is heavenly to be with you' kinda vibe. white lily also the symbol of innocence. by giving your partner white lilies, it shows to her that you are sincere about your love, full of respect and devotion towards her. that will make her feels unique and special from all other women.
but to the Chinese, it almost has the same meaning but a little bit different. to them, white lily is the symbol of summer and abundance, and most of them believe that it represents 'forever in love'. some of them believe that lily can be a lucky charm and claim that it can averts the effect of evil eyes upon them. also to the pregnant Chinese mothers, when any of them wears a lily, she hopes that she will have a son.
amazingly, lily can be used in the medical field as well. which is very surprising to me, at least. did you know that lily can cure depression? apparently, lily has an antitoxin powers capable of curing depression. not just that, countries around the Europe found out that lilies can healed several types and ailments and diseases too.
pretty amazing isn't it? even i just found out myself when i was researching about the flower. i will be forever in love with lilies. they are just the most exquisite and beautiful flowers i've ever seen. i hope when i get married, one day, (i hope), i will have bunch of lilies all over the wedding reception. i guess i would have to marry a rich guy to afford that kind of wedding. fresh flowers are damn expensive! but it would be so lovely. to me, only one word describe it....
